Astara from London, UK has always loved music and started writing songs from an early age. She used to spend hours writing poems, songs and listening to all genres of music.
In the early 1990's when dance music swept through the UK, she bought herself some technic decks and found herself spinning trance, dance & deep house records. Her collection of vinyl soon built up and soon she found herself DJ'ing at underground parties. Most of her spare time was spent in record shops, spinning records and working for a record distributor.
In 2001 her life took un expected turn by her beloved brother passing away. She went through years of sadness but found her passion through writing songs and expressing her emotions. It was then that she decided to make an album in tribute to her brother Paul and dedicate it to him.
Since then she has been writing songs, collaborating with other singer/songwriters and honing down on her craft.
She self taught herself guitar and piano and is excited to be finally releasing her debut single 'Here She Comes' in November 2018.
All her songs have been written about her life experiences, whether is about love, heartache, freedom or beauty. Her music takes you on a journey and can be described as current electronica, chilled music with catchy melodies, hooks and harmonies.
In her spare time, she loves to hang out with her family, her 3 kids, 2 cats and her little puppy pug.
